Have you ever set a tea aside because you thought it wouldn’t be the tea for you? This was one of those teas, and oh my goodness, I admit to being so wrong! The Cardamom Vanilla Black Tea, blended by hand to ensure freshness and balance in every cup, is clearly a customer favorite. I added a little organic whole milk, which made for a fragrant but creamy blend, making this a fabulous alternative for anyone who loves chai. I’m going to make this next on the stovetop with milk as a latte.

I brewed two teaspoons at 212° for 4 minutes and it produced a deep, flavorful cup where bold cardamom shines against a soft, creamy vanilla backdrop. This blend has a cozy, aromatic finish that lingers long after the last sip.

Examining the loose leaf of cardamom vanilla black tea, the ingredients smelled fresh as with other teas of this brand. I am sometimes weary of cardamom dominant blends so I was hoping that the vanilla would add a nice creamy note to smooth out any strong cardamom taste. It did not disappoint. I had it both hot plain and with milk. I preferred it with milk to bring out the creamier notes but if you enjoy bold cardamom I would suggest it plain. The vanilla was subtle but present. I have genuinely enjoyed trying all inspired leaf teas.

I’m such a fan of cardamom, and there’s no doubt this is a true cardamom-forward tea—the flavor is front and center in every sip. I added a splash of cream, which brought out more of the vanilla and softened the cardamom just enough. It has a chai-like comfort without the usual spice blend, and the Assam gives it a moderately bold base.I can easily see this making a lovely iced latte, too.

The taste is smooth and rich. The Assam gives a nice malty base, the cardamom adds gentle spice, and the vanilla ties it all together.

I was able to try this one hot and hot with milk. This was such a lovely smelling tea from the pouch. Brewed hot, this is a cardamom lover’s dream—nice and punchy cardamom with a bold black tea base. The vanilla makes the super creamy! This is a super refreshing blend, and a delight to drink. This was so perfect with a splash of milk—very creamy and chai adjacent, but all cardamom. I do love cardamom, so it was nice to experience a very cardamom forward blend!

This tea is amazing. It smells amazing and has a very smooth cardamom flavor. It’s so calming and wonderful for an early afternoon cozy pick-me-up. I’m ordering my second tin now. I drank mine with a little milk and vanilla flavoring. One of my all time favorites!
